Tradition, Care and Discoveries in the Heart of Friuli
- The donkey in our region has always been a trusted life companion: a member of the family used as a means of transport and brother of the Aplini army!
- The Educational Farm "Gli Asini di Manute" in Rive d'Arcano is a farm run by a young couple, who raise donkeys, ponies, cows, pigs, chickens, rabbits and quails. Their philosophy is non-intensive farming for the creation of their food products and they do not use any preservatives or additives! At the reception you can book, with an exclusive offer, a guided tour with tasting or an experience to create your own soap based on raw donkey milk, the ancient beauty secret of Friulian grandmothers!
- "L'Amico Asino" is a reality dedicated to your babies, Erica Molinaro Franzil will accompany you to discover our hills, letting you be guided by this sweet animal. Erica is a psychologist specialized in rehabilitation with pet assistance, with particular attention to learning, in fact this project is part of Digital Pet, the national portal for animal-assisted interventions. This is the perfect solution to introduce your children to nature and animals independently away from parents, or you can have a family experience discovering our territory. The activity is organized at the donkey farm in Ruscletto di Fagagna and can be reached by renting our bikes.
- For a special experience that has the flaour of antiquity, a few kilometers from Fagagna there is the Che Lumaca! farm in Colloredo di Monte Albano. This genuine family company was born from the passion of two young people for heliciculture and offers guided tours and tastings. Food and wine products, beauty elixirs and small remedies for seasonal ailments: thoose are much more than simple local artefacts, they are true testimonies of an ancient traditional business! You can book this fantastic experience, with a special discount, at our reception: our snail friends can be admired at sunset because they like the humidity of the evening.
"If you put your ear to the shell of a snail, you hear the sound of the forest."
Fabrizio Caramagna
