Since 1891 the name of Fagagna has been linked to this cute long-eared animal.
Since then, in fact, every first Sunday of September the main square is transformed into a racecourse and the most important event of the town festival comes to life.
On the square the protagonists are the donkeys, followed by carts and jockeys. The donkeys come from different stables in Friuli Venezia Giulia.
